An unforgettable closing for one of the most emblematic festivals in Menorca
The Sant Joan Festival in Ciutadella is one of the most important cultural and popular events in the Balearic Islands, bringing together thousands of people every year in a unique atmosphere of tradition and celebration.
To close out this year edition, our team was in charge of designing and producing a large-format laser show that transformed the sky of Ciutadella into a huge canvas of light, delivering a visual experience that amazed the more than 3,000 attendees gathered for the closing of the event.
The challenge
The main challenge was to create a contemporary show able to coexist with a celebration of great historical and emotional value for the city. The show had to generate a moment of maximum emotion, be visible from a great distance and adapt to an open-air space with thousands of spectators.
In addition to the artistic design, we needed a precise technical production ensuring perfect synchronisation between the laser systems, the music and the visual programming, guaranteeing maximum impact throughout the entire show.
Our proposal
We designed a large-format laser show with 16 laser projectors strategically placed around the main square where the show took place, combining powerful beams of light, volumetric effects and carefully synchronised musical programming to build a visual narrative that grew in intensity until culminating in a spectacular finale.
Each sequence was programmed to take advantage of the architecture of the surroundings and the width of the space, creating an immersive experience visible from different points and capable of moving both the closest audience and those following the show from a distance.
The result
The show became one of the most anticipated and photographed moments of the night, bringing together more than 3,000 people to say goodbye to the festivals with an innovative staging and great visual impact.
This project demonstrates how laser technology can be successfully integrated into cultural events, festivals and large celebrations, offering a sustainable, elegant and highly spectacular alternative to create memorable finales.
