Do you have to organize an awards ceremony in Barcelona? Here’s how we did it for an agency in India.

We recently received a request from an event agency in New Delhi to help them organize the convention in Barcelona that they had to organize for an important Indian chemical company, giving special importance to the organization and production of the awards ceremony to be held at the Hyatt Regency Hotel in Barcelona. Here we tell you some details of this event.

A good briefing is the best start.

We knew from the first moment of the importance of this awards ceremony thanks to the first videoconferences that we initially held with the events agency On Stage. For them, it was of vital importance that the production of the event had a premium stamp at a technical level, from the design of the stage to the sound and lighting systems and of course the audiovisual equipment, so that the company’s image was associated with technology and innovation. From here, we put all our technicians to work until we found the most suitable production configuration taking into account the space available, the set-up time, the needs of the event and the budget.

Not to be forgotten is the artistic production for a good ambience.

At EB, as an event agency specialized in offering the best artists and shows for events, we knew that we had to set the scene for the gala with a show that would be able to liven up and surprise the guests without stealing the limelight from the awards, as the event leasted about 3 hours. For this we proposed to the client to have a group of dancers specially prepared to set events, dancers who dominate a multitude of styles and registers so that, with a team of 6 dancers we could make several passes with different costumes and styles. So we put toghether a salsa dance show for a first pass and a second pass cabaret style show, much more sensual and feminine. Apart from the dancers for events, we needed a show with a WOW effect, with a high visual impact, for this we had our LED percussionists, a percussion group in Barcelona specializing in corporate events that is distinguished by its lively choreography and spectacular LED costumes and LED drums.

The importance of a good technical team.

But all of the above, which is part of the ingredients for a successful event or awards ceremony, is useless without a good technical team that is reliable, experienced and operates state-of-the-art equipment. Without them, our showcaller’s live event management would have been a failure. That’s why at EB we always work with the same technical team, because having confidence in your team, to operate the live production with 3 cameras, the lighting design and the set up of a 12x4m LED screen has to be out of question.

In summary, the event was a success, everything went according to plan and without any incident thanks to a good job in the organization of the awards ceremony as well as in the execution and production of the event.
